Robbie is the lead singer for the local San Marcos band Robbie and the Robots. His band has been playing shows around Central Texas for the last year and a half and is currently working to put out a record on indie label Viewpoint Records.

The clever humorous lyrics he writes for Robbie and the Robots are simply another vehicle for his favorite pastime which is writing. Currently, Robbie is writing the story line for a comic book also named Robbie and the Robots which is not related to the band. The plot of the comic book involves a lot of crazy villains who are sent from the future to kill him. In the comic, his loyal robots must protect him from the evil future villains.

Robbie admires writers such as Ernest Hemingway and James Joyce who write semi-autobigraphically and thinly veil their lives in fiction. Robbie tries to use this approach in his own writing and he also tries to make sure his writing is simple, at least on the surface. He especially tries to keep his lyrics simple "Because it's Rock and Roll" but he adds that there are deeper meanings if you listen close enough.
